SAP Security Maintenance Project - Approvals Start Today

June 24, 2014

The day has finally arrived! On Wednesday, June 25th the current Lotus Notes database for the R3 Account Request Forms will be shut-down and the new request process will go-live. Starting on Wednesday, any requests for changes to SAP security access will need to be made using the new process. All requests made through the R3 Account Request form that were not completed by close of business, Friday, June 20th will be entered into the new tool for completion starting today. Therefore, Approvers could start getting notification emails for approval or rejection as early as today.

If you are a Security Initiator and do not have access to the Security Admin tab on the Duke@Work portal, please contact Accounting Systems Adminstration immediately to discuss set up before go-live on Wednesday. The current R3 Account Request Form will not be accepted after Tuesday, June 24th.

Additional information about the SAP Security Maintenance project including training materials is located on the SAP Security webpage. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

We hope you find the new tool as helpful and user friendly as our testing groups have. As always, don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns. Our departmental email is AcctgSysAdmin@duke.edu and our department phone line is 919-684-2752.
