Recertification/Renewal of the Certified Payroll Representative Certification
Certification in the FCP is valid for one year. Certification will be renewable by participation in a general session designed to ensure that certified individuals across Duke remain aware of recent changes in the relevant subject matter. Certification will be revoked if a participant does not maintain appropriate renewal credits on an annual basis.
The Certified Payroll Representative Certification is renewable by attending at least one of the two semi-annual Department Payroll Updates. The sessions focus on changes in policy/procedures, recurring issues/problems, information regarding calendar or fiscal year end requirements, reminders for representatives, and case study analysis. Separate update sessions are conducted for the University, School of Medicine, and Duke University Health System.
