API Web Link Temporary Change Update

April 17, 2014

On April 6, 2014, we moved the API Time and Attendance System to the failover site due to technical problems. We are continuing to investigate the root cause of the problem with assistance from our vendor. Consequently, we are planning to stay on the failover site until the root cause is determined and a correction has been implemented.

Please share the following with your staff regarding the use of the fail site for API Time and Attendance:

  • All Time and Attendance users will need to use a different URL to access the system. Please use this link http://time-test.oit.duke.edu/APIHealthcare. This will include all employees, not just editors or approvers. Staff scheduling users will be able to access scheduling functionality from this URL as you would normally.

  • The time.oit.duke.edu/apihealthcare url will display the following message after the user has authenticated with their netid. Clicking on the hyperlink in the error message will take them to the failover site.

    .

  • The banner at the top of the screen in API will say Test. This is okay. We have failed over to our test system on a temporary basis.

  • Employees will be able to badge in via badge readers, QuickBadge and Time Call.

Thanks for your patience and cooperation in dealing with this issue. We will send out a communication when plans are finalized to move back to the production site.

If you have any questions please send an email to time-attendance@duke.edu
