Current Mileage Rates

The IRS has announced the new standard mileage rates for 2026. The standard mileage rate will increase to 72.5¢ per mile for business miles driven beginning January 1, 2026, up from 70¢ in 2025.

Additionally, the 2026 mileage rate for medical or moving purposes for qualified active duty members of the Armed Forces decreased to 20.5¢ per mile, down from 21¢ in 2025.

The mileage rate for driving an automobile for charitable purposes during 2026 will remain unchanged at 14¢.
