2021 IRS Mileage Allowance

The IRS has announced the new standard mileage rates for 2021. The standard mileage rate will decrease to 56¢ per mile for business miles driven beginning January 1, 2021, down from 57.5¢ in 2020.

Additionally, the 2021 mileage rate for medical or moving purposes for qualified active duty members of the Armed Forces decreased to 16¢ per mile, down from 17¢ in 2020.

The mileage rate for driving an automobile for charitable purposes during 2021 will remain unchanged at 14¢.
