Time and Attendance Update

November 22, 2013

In conjunction with API and the Administrative Systems Management team, the Corporate Payroll team has implemented enhancements to the Time and Attendance system. As a result, we would like to communicate the following updates.

Duplicate Clocking Messages

Three duplicate clocking messages have been removed from the employee’s Time Card Screen (listed below). This change is effective with the current pay period that began November 18, 2013. These messages were informational only and did not affect pay; however, they caused confusion with users and added clutter to the timecard. Please note that prior timecards and certain exception reports will continue to include these messages.

  1. Duplicate clocking detected, previous clocking replaced
  2. Clocking auto generated due to Labor Distribution change
  3. Clocking auto generated due to Special Code change

Annual PTO Cash in of Long Term Bank Hours

A communication was distributed earlier today to employees eligible for the Annual Cash In of Long Term Bank Hours. This communication provided the dates for the election period - December 2, 2013 thru December 12, 2013. In addition, an announcement of a new method for requesting PTO cash in hours was included. This new process will allow employees to enter the request for PTO cash in directly into the Time and Attendance system, eliminating the need for emailed forms and faxes. A second communication detailing the process, eligibility requirements, and a link to step by step instructions will be distributed December 2, 2013.

We appreciate your ongoing support. If you have any questions or need additional information please contact us at Time-Attendance@duke.edu
