2026 PostDoc Scholar Health Insurance Stipend Guidelines

Attached are the 2026 PostDoc Scholar Health Insurance Stipend Guidelines.  The guidelines provide instructions for processing health insurance stipend payments, the health insurance stipend augmentation top-up, and the new stipend dollar amounts for the current year. 

These new stipend amounts will need to be paid to PostDoc Scholars in January of 2026.  Departments will need to submit Non-compensatory Change iForms for all PostDoc Scholars to reflect the new payment amounts with a start date of 1/1/2026 and an end date of 12/31/2026 or the end date of the current award if before the 12/31/2026 date.

Please note, all 2026 non-compensatory insurance payments are set to stop at the end of the calendar year.  Every PostDoc Scholar will need to have a Non-compensatory Award iForms submitted and approved to ensure insurance payments are correct.  Please confirm with PostDoc Scholars that they have made no changes to their health insurance during open enrollment prior to submitting stipend payments.

As a reminder, Non-compensatory iForms for the January payment cycle are to be submitted and approved by noon on 1/22/2026.
