Pick-Up Request Instructions

  1. If this is your first time using the tool and you do not yet have an ID for the system, enter your email address and click "Login". If you already registered with the system, enter your email address and continue to step 20.

  2. With your email addressed entered, you will receive the "Login Error: Invalid Email." Click "Try Again."
    .

  3. Click the "Register a New Department" link.
    .

  4. Fill in the information as prompted.
    .

  5. Click "Register" when finished.

  6. Click on "Department Profile" on the left menu.
    .

  7. Click the "Edit" button in the middle of the screen.

  8. Enter your building name.

  9. Enter the building's address, city, state and zip code.

  10. Put a check mark in the "Main" box and click the floppy disk icon to save the address information.

  11. Enter your telephone number.

  12. Put a check mark in the "Main" box and click the floppy disk icon to save your telephone number.

  13. Click the "Save" button in the middle of the screen to save the entire record.

  14. Click on the registered user's name under the tab "department user."

  15. Select the "Edit" button on the bottom.

  16. Enter job title.

  17. Enter the telephone number.

  18. Put a check mark in the "Main" box and click the floppy disk icon to save your telephone number.

  19. Click the "Save" button on the bottom of the screen to save the entire record.

  20. Click on "Disposal Request" in the left hand menu.

  21. Click on "Add/Edit."

  22. Click on the "New" button at the bottom of the screen.

  23. Read the reminder pop-up regarding computers, hard drives, servers or other data-containing devices and monitors. Click OK.
    .

  24. If your name isn't in the contact person field, select your name from the drop down menu.
    .

  25. Select your building address from the drop down building menu.

  26. Enter room number containing surplus items. (This is an alphanumeric field.)

  27. Click on the item text box. A search box will appear. Enter keywords to search for an item.

  28. When you have found the correct item, highlight the item and click "Select."

  29. Enter the quantity.

  30. Is the item you entered in working condition? Select "yes" or "no."
    .

  31. Enter asset tag number, if any. Otherwise, leave blank.

  32. Enter the serial number, model and manufacturer, if required (i.e. computers, hard drives, servers or any data-containing item).

  33. The "Description" field is required. Enter additional information such as another building, room or contact name and telephone if different from your profile.

  34. Click the "Save Line Item" button to save the information and to begin entering a new item.

  35. The clone button can be used for like items (for example, if entering multiple data-containing items after you have saved the line item, select clone and change serial number to reflect new item).

  36. When you have finished click the "Complete" button on the bottom of the screen. Saved disposal requests can no longer be edited. Click "Yes" to complete your disposal request. Click "No" to continue entering items.
